FAQ
SUIT SAVER™ concentrate was developed by scientists to remove residual chlorine and bromine from swimwear. It is specifically designed to preserve colors and fabric. We also wanted our product to be environmentally safe and have limited environmental impact. We could have easily put it in an impressive 8oz. or 12 oz. bottle. But why waste material and use more fuel to ship, more packaging when a concentrate would be so much more efficient. Plus, it helps save the environment when you limit waste. Our fully recyclable 2.2 Fl. oz. HDPE bottle uses about 75% less plastics than an 8 oz. bottle. And as a concentrate SUIT SAVER™ is packed with lots of chlorine removing power. Lots more rinses/bottle than the usual 8 oz. and 12 oz. bottles have. Our little concentrate is easy to take to the gym, on vacations and flying abroad. Just a small squirt in a sink of tap water is all it takes.
2. Can I use SUIT SAVER™ on my old swimsuit?
Yes, you can use it on lightly-used swimsuit to reduce additional damage. However, SUIT SAVER™ cannot repair and protect an old swimsuit from damage done or damage started. That would be a miracle.
3. How much is a squirt?
Just an easy pinch squirt. Watch our video and see how quick and easy Suit Saver works on swimwear.
4. May I wash my swimsuit in the washing machine and use the dryer?
Do not wash your swimsuit in a washing machine or dry in dryer. Both will accelerate damage of modern fabrics, stretch the fit and fade colors. Hand wash/rinse with SUIT SAVER™ to get the Chlorine out and then use mild soap (not detergent) when needed.
5. What is the shelf-life of SUIT SAVER™ ?
Unopened 4-5 years. Opened 2 years tightening the bottle cap after each use.
6. My swimsuit label says not to wash my swimsuit in a detergent, is SUIT SAVER™ a detergent?
No, SUIT SAVER™ is not a detergent or soap. SUIT SAVER™ is a anti-oxidant that binds with chlorine and bromine to render it inactive. Detergents are stronger than soaps. Both make suds and typically mask chlorine odors. You do not need that. SUIT SAVER™ has no detergent, soap or masking perfumes. If your swimwear is soiled or has oily sunblock on it use a mild soap like Dove or Ivory to wash swimwear by hand. Do not wring your suit out, just squeeze. Be gently to swimwear like you are to intimate apparel.
7. Does SUIT SAVER™ need hot or cold water in a sink?
SUIT SAVER™ is effective in any temperature of tap water.
8. Can I use SUIT SAVER™ on other items; sun shirt, men’s swim shorts, professional swimmer’s suits, prosthetics, etc?
Yes, SUIT SAVER™ will remove residual chlorine from anything you put into chlorinated water.
9. Do I need more squirts of SUIT SAVER™ if I need to wash a wetsuit or shirt or shorts from the pool?
Yes, one squirt of SUIT SAVER™ is measured for a large women’s swimsuit. If you add more items add 1 additional squirt/item. You will not harm swimwear by using too much, you would just be wasting SUIT SAVER™.
10. Does SUIT SAVER™ contain detergents and phosphates?
No detergents, no soaps, no phosphates, nitrates or perfumes to mask chlorine odor.
